(S)-2-Methyl-CBS-oxazaborolidine is used as an oxazaborolidine catalyst. It is also employed in the asymmetric reduction of prochiral ketones. Other applications include the enantioselective synthesis of α-hydroxy acids, α-amino acids, C2-symmetrical ferrocenyl diols and propargyl alcohols. It is an anhydrous catalyst for CBS reduction reaction.

Applications
(S)-2-Méthyl-CBS-oxazaborolidine est utilisé comme catalyseur à l’oxazaborolidine. Il est également employé dans la réduction asymétrique des cétones prochirales. D’autres applications incluent la synthèse énantiosélective des acides α ;-hydroxy, des acides α ;-amino, des diolsferrocényles C2-symétriques et des alcools propargyliques. Il s’agit d’un catalyseur anhydre pour la réaction de réduction ′CBS′.

Il s’hydrolyse dans l’eau.

Remarques
Stockez-le dans un endroit frais. Garder le récipient bien fermé dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé. Les récipients qui sont ouverts doivent être soigneusement rescellés et maintenus à la verticale pour éviter toute fuite. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants.
