Description

It is employed as a valuable reagent for trifluoromethylation of electrophilic substrates. It is also use an the nucleophilic addition of the trifluoromethyl group to aldehydes and ketones. It generates trifluoromethide with catalytic amounts of F- (TBAF or CsF) and reacts with carbonyl compounds to produce trifluoromethylated alcohols.

Applications
Il est utilisé comme réactif précieux pour la trifluorométhylation des substrats électrophiles. On l’utilise également pour l’addition nucléophile du groupe trifluorométhyle aux aldéhydes et cétones. Il génère du trifluorométhane avec des quantités catalytiques de F- (TBAF ou CsF) et réagit avec les composés carbonylés pour produire des alcools trifluorométhylés.

Solubilité
Soluble dans l’alcool, le tétrahydrofurane, l’éther, le dichlorométhane, les hydrocarbures aromatiques et aliphatiques. Soluble dans l’eau (avec des fumées blanches).

Remarques
Sensible à l’humidité. Conserver à l’écart des agents oxydants et de l’eau / l’humidité. Gardez le récipient bien fermé et placez-le dans un endroit frais, sec et bien ventilé. Stocker sous un gaz inerte.
