Description
Oleyl alcohol is used in softening and lubrication of textile fabrics, in the production of carbon paper, stencil paper, and printing ink. It finds application in cosmetic products viz skin creams, lotions as a thickner, and in hair conditioners and hair coating shampoos. It is utilized as an antifoaming agent and cutting lubricant, as the precursor for the preparation of its sulfuric ester derivatives, which are used in detergents and wetting agents. It plays a vital role in various formulations for drug delivery.

L’alcool oléylique est utilisé pour adoucir et lubrifier les tissus, pour la production de papier carbone, de papier à pochoir et d’encre d’impression. Également utilisé dans des produits cosmétiques, tels que des crèmes pour la peau, des lotions comme épaississant, les revitalisants pour cheveux et les masques pour cheveux. Il est utilisé comme agent anti-mousse et lubrifiant de coupe, comme précurseur pour la préparation de ses dérivés d’ester sulfurique, qui sont utilisés dans les détergents et les humidificateurs. Il joue un rôle essentiel dans diverses formulations pour l’administration de médicaments.
