Description
Methyl isocyanoacetate is used in the copper-catalyzed, diastereoselective synthesis of oxazolines. It is involved in the direct aldol reaction with carbonyl compounds to prepare corresponding oxazoline by using catechol-copper network catalyst. Further, it is also involved in four-component Ugi condensation reaction. It undergoes asymmetric aldol reaction with fluorinated benzaldehyde using gold(I) as a catalyst.

L’isocyanoacétate de méthyle est utilisé dans la synthèse diastéréosélective des oxazolines catalysée par le cuivre. Il est impliqué dans la réaction aldolique directe avec les composés carbonylés pour préparer l’oxazoline correspondante en utilisant le catalyseur réseau catéchol-cuivre. De plus, il est également impliqué dans la réaction de condensation à quatre composants de Ugi. Il subit une réaction aldolique asymétrique avec du benzaldéhyde fluoré en utilisant l’or(I) comme catalyseur.
Solubilité
Miscible avec les solvants organiques. Légèrement miscible avec de l’eau.
Remarques
Sensible à la lumière et à l’humidité. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants forts, les bases fortes, les acides forts, le sulfate de fer(II) hydraté, les métaux lourds et l’aluminium. Stocker dans un endroit frais. Maintenir le récipient bien fermé.
