• L’arsenazo III est très spécifique au calcium et produit des pics d’absorbance dans la gamme 600-660 nm
• Il réagit dans des conditions légèrement acides et est soluble dans l’alcool et semi-soluble dans l’eau

Application

• L’arsenazo III peut détecter le calcium dans les cellules perméabilisées ; il est également capable de détecter l’uranium et le thorium
• L’arsenazo III a été utilisé in vitro pour mesurer les concentrations intracellulaires de Ca2+ dans les neurones vivants avec les méthodes patch clamp
