Adipoyl chloride is used in the production of nylon by reacting with hexamethylene diamine. It is also used in the preparation of biphenyl end-capped liquid crystals. Further, it is employed in the synthesis of chiral polymer for membrane applications.

Applications
Le chlorure dʼadipoyle est utilisé dans la production de nylon en réagissant avec lʼhexaméthylène diamine. Il est également utilisé dans la préparation de cristaux liquides à “end-cappingˮ biphényle. De plus, il est utilisé dans la synthèse de polymères chiraux pour les applications membranaires.
